Introducing the Hinterland Igloo, nestled in scenic Flaxton.

This unique owner-builder project brought a bold and unconventional vision to life—one that required a creative and flexible approach from the very beginning.

The moment I saw the plans, I was genuinely excited and hoped I’d get the opportunity to be part of it. After meeting Beau and Hollie, the owners, it must have shown—because not long after, I got the call asking when I could start.

Right away, I had a clear vision of what this could become. Thankfully, Beau and Hollie trusted me completely and gave me the freedom to run with my ideas.

None of us had ever worked on a structure quite like this before, so there were plenty of head-scratching moments along the way. But that’s exactly the kind of challenge I love—something totally different that allows for real creativity.
